The Cannes film festival is premiering a new documentary about Mike Tyson, directed by James Toback, which is in the Un Certain Regard section of the competition.
There’s no question that Tyson was one of the greatest world heavyweight champions, but he is also the anti-hero - the man who bit a chunk out of Evander Holyfield’s ear and who served three years in prison for rape.
Toback cast Tyson in the 1995 film "Black and White", whic

Will be interesting to see if he’s anywhere close to his form when he retired.
In some ways I think he should stay retired - he had a fairly good career and was obviously the best heavyweight when he retired, although you could argue he still is!
With the dearth of talent in the heavyweight devision, it’ll be interesting to see, should he be successful, if he’ll fight his brother. There would surely be a big push from the fans to see this happen, although

It’s sad to see that Carl Froch has only had 22 fights and is now 30. If I remember rightly he was relatively late coming to the pro game, and he’s had quite a few critics of his style, relying on his reflexes more than a traditional boxing style, but he seems to have some power to his punches.
I wonder whether he’s running out of time to make the big time, and big fights?
I’ve met Carl a couple of times, and he seems like a really nice guy who

Anyone hear why Jorge Linares pulled out of his bout with Billy Dib? Dib is a good prospect, but he’s looked a level below Linares so far. This bout was the only encouragement I had to watch Oscar’s fight live instead of DVRing it.

James Kirkland will be taking a considerable step up against Eromosele Albert and I think I am going with the upset in this one.
Which 154 lb. contender do you think goes furthest?
Yuri Foreman, Sechew Powell, Joel Julio, or James Kirkland?

Just read on the BBC that Haye has been told by Klitschko to go and have a few fights before he comes knocking at his door.
I can’t believe there’s even been a discussion! Haye has been pretty good in his recent fights, but they weren’t at heavyweight and weren’t against world champions in Klitschko’s class.
Both the Klitschko’s have very good and heavy jabs, which Haye won’t have come across before. Haye needs a few rounds with som

I arrived at Boardwalk Hall at 4:30pm to pick up my Cotto-Gomez press credentials. The ladies behind the desk instructed us to form two lines: A-M and N-Z. It was kind of tough to act cool and collected when I could hear my own heart beating. I then recognized Marc Abrams, who I first met a month earlier at Philadelphia’s Legendary Blue Horizon. Marc handles the press releases for fight cards at the Blue, as well as for IBF Cruiserweight Champ Steve &
