Calzaghe's Resume

13-Apr-08 19:35
Look at his opposition since defeating Chris Eubank and evaluate it honestly. Look at the records of the men he beat, how they were ranked at the time, and who they were overall as fighters. The man catches a lot of heat for fighting nobody, but I think a lot of US fans bash him because they don’t recognize the names. Sure, most of them aren’t famous fighters, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t any good; he truly has met most of the viable contenders of his era. I wouldn’t give him an A resume, but he beat most of the guys in a European dominant division over his reign. I think he’s paid his dues and is shortchanged with respect and I am a US based fan.
