BC AMATEUR BOXING HALL OF FAME: By Brian Zelley
At the present timew there are no inductees, but that is about to change
with attempts to select some boxers and builders. In July, friends of
amateur boxing started with a list of 50 names, and by the end of August
the list will be reduced to 10 boxers and five builders.
At the present time the reduced list is comprised of 14 boxers and 10 builders
covering a wide range of folks throughout the decades including boxer
EDDIE HADDAD, a 1948 Olympian to Donny ORR a 2000 Olympian.
The builders include DAVE BROWN, the man who refereed the 1972 bout between
MUHAMMAD ALI vs GEORGE CHUVALO in Vancouver.
