Roy got smashed. I lost money by betting on the 3rd round for KO to green but a tko was a jolt but not too wierd. It was an atmosphereless anger less fight. With all the hype of an episode of Iron Chef dubbed into Engrish. fun to be there but not much.
What was’nt good was how flunked out old Roy was. He had a touch of the stype dues about him. I am sure we are going to hear about how too much promotional effort was put in and how draining it was but thats their fault for trying get the no hate fight off the ground.
It was zab judah scenerio again. In the lead up to the Kostya Tzyu fight he had a co billed fight and had an easy one and looked good. Kostya had a full rounder and had to earn his win a little. Come fight day six months later the one with the least ring rust who had the least hype (and who had spoken the least about themselves in the first person trying to provide sound bites and quotes in interviews) wins.
Roy looked like ole wobbly legs zab after min 1 second 40. Prior to that hitting Greeny was like watching a baby get mothers milk, you could see his pride and what he was thinking "wow .roy is punching me in the head..hang on a second..I better stop this and now!"
Weirdly enough -According to my logic this could be all an elaborate set up for the hopkins fight and roy will come on strong. Stuff em Roy 4o something or not - you got one more in you at least.
Who is Greeny going to fight now? Don’t like the look of cruiser weight he could get bashed there and below. How about he eats a steak and goes up for a heavy weight title.? Hunt and peck the division for a title and hope none of the big russian brothers notice him? Could be painful but it could also be very interesting. He should do something soon while he is so ready.
