I’ve recently been introduced to the benefits of online betting - thanks to snow!
Most lunchtimes I go out with a couple of the guys in the office to buy our lunch, and we normally go to the betting shop on the way back to the office to try and win our dinner money back.
I like the dogs, where I usually win in 1 in 4 tries, and overall I mostly cover my lunches - which should be a lot smaller than they are as I’m trying to lose weight, which means I should really be making money!
My colleagues prefer the horses - one keeps mumbling about "form", although I think he means the little slip you fill in to place the bet - and the other likes roulette.
My colleague seems to have a canny knack of picking donkeys, even on the virtual racing, and consequently looses sight of the reason we’re in there, i.e. to win our dinner money back, so his lunches average out at about £30 a pop - £5 for lunch and £25 donkey sponsorship.
My colleague who plays the roulette usually wins his lunch money back, usually on one of my favourite numbers - I should start charging commission.
So, it was with great dismay that we looked out of the window during the first couple of weeks of January to see the streets covered in snow and strewn with broken pedestrians.
We therefore bought a sandwich from the cafe in the building, and retreated to a distant pc to try and win back our lunch money.
Well, what do you know? It’s all there and then some - dogs, horses, etc. and a virtual casino.
The only problem is the donkey sponsorship is getting out of hand.
