It seems that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is attempting to arrange a November 14th superfight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Is this the best fight for the Pac-Man? Would Shane Mosley have been a bigger match? Is Cotto the same fighter before the beating he received from Antonio Margarito. Lots of questions here. Personally, I'm tipping Pacquiao to beat anyone he is lined up against, until he ever loses again.

Paul, I reckon this is gonna be one terrific donnybrook! I hope the fight comes off at 145 pounds. It would be a shame if Cotto had to enter the ring weight-drained at '43 and I think Pac-man can carry the extra five.
Sugar Shane v. Pac-man would also have been sweet. Dunno why, but I feel Shane might have had the hand speed to out-slick the great Filipino. Hope the fight can still happen (post cotto?) and I hope my prediction is wrong, as I think we need Pac-Man in the game post-Dela Hoya. He's a superstar! And can shane still make 145 like Pac-man would likely demand? And then there's Mayweather! Man alive, I love the 140-147 divisions!!!

uppy , your probably right pac to edge cotto , though cottos style is suited to pacs and pac will have to survive some hard punches but next years big mega titantic fight[ it'll happen way way too much bugs bunny involved] with a pumped up mayweather will determine eachs legacy in boxing history. surely pac will be the walk down chaser/agressor because mayweather wont take this role in this fight and sooner or later pac will walk on too the same punch that stopped hatton , pacs never fought a counter puncher like mayweather thats faster than him and mate i can still see that jab that hussien put on him , you've seen the look manny had in his eyes countless times before in fights in australia from chinned boxers ,i've been waiting since for a fast puncher to land on mannys chin and i think the pretty boy can ice manny next year , just an opinion uppy your still the best sports writer in oz mate.

While I am tipping Pacquiao to beat Cotto, I don't think it will be easy. Cotto will be tougher than Hatton. Miguel is bigger and has a better range of punches. Interested to see how Pac-Man takes Cotto's bodyshots. Great fight! Thanks for the kind words.

I don't think  Cotto is ready for the Pac man. This fight would be  disastrous for Cotto. I think Cotto  did not looked good in his last fight against the African. He should patched up his quarrels with his uncle and go back to him as his trainer. Without Evangelista, he 's a lost boy in the ring.

Chris Arreola will beat  Klitschko by k.o in the 7th. or before. Klitschko is a washed out boxer that doesn't have what it takes anymore. In contrary to Chris, who has all it takes to become the first legitimate, Latino boxer to ever win that division's crown. Viva la Raza !!

Back on Marquez' vs. Floyd, I forgot to mention that Hatton never convinced me of being a  boxer worthy of a fight against  Floyd and I never considered "washed out De la Hoya", a boxer worthy of a match with Floyd. What I'm trying to say is: that Floyd  fought a finished boxer when he fought Oscar and a British trojan horse made by the boxing madia, that had experience with mediocre boxers. J.M.M. is a tested boxer with a power that  Floyd wishes he can buy. Then again, the only chances he's got against Marquez is, like I said before, the  bicycle and the dirty boxing not to mention his motor mouth.

hope marquez got paid well , about as one sided a major fight can be as the pretty boy pitches a near shutout. if marquez was able to outscore manny in the majority of the 24 rounds they fought floyd will do the same only more easily - with floyds speed mannys wide open to uppercuts when in close , klitschko to breat arreola easily - chris has no defence other than holding his gloves up around his face , no head movement.

hhmmm...dunno with this one hard to call. I think if Cotto had beaten Margarito i would be saying Cotto without hesitation. Cotto is an exceptionally quick counter puncher with very good ring craft and slick combinations (Not say manny isn't of course) who don't forget has inflicted defeat on Mosley. However Cotto has come back with two more wins after margarito (who may well have been packing something in his gloves other than his hands in that fight) beating jennings albiet not in Cotto's class, and Clottley which again thats where the doubt is, had he KO'd Clottley i would be picking cotto as he is too good a fighter at 147lbs. But you just can't look past the pacman, at a catch weight of 144 (not that cotto has to stick to it) manny has looked comfortable...did i say comfortable sorry meant awesome. Destroying Hatton at 140lbs, and taking De la Hoya at 147lbs (albeit a poorly conditioned de la hoya) the pacman is simply the best boxer of his time. Unless Cotto takes the piss and comes in a good few pounds over the weight agreed (a bit like mayweather did against marquez) then i will be putting money on the little fella.

I dont know about anyone else but i dont see manny paquiao as a one man fighter i see him and freddie roach as a team all credit to pacman but like a dog he does wot he's told and i believe he was told to take this fight. Great as cotto is and he is great this fight is not as big as a showdown with mayweather or taking on mosely, marquez again or hatton again but its a fight they can win so take it get the money more fame bigger profile but most of all more pratice at the weight and another notch on the ring post before the ultimate showdown with money mayweather if the whole mosely mayweather thing dont come together. I think paquiao has cottos number flickin at and chequing him from range cotto aint ricky hatton so pacman will have to pop n go on his feet and draw cotto to try to pressure him then as he gets him slightly frustrated use his own pressure against him and knock him out lunging in with straight left as he charges forward. Cotto is tough and big in the ring but i feel after know more then 8 rounds he will have run out of ideas, enter pacman!!!
