Come on Cestrian. You've got it all wrong. Mundine claims to have won 3 world titles. You forgot the prestigious IBO title the judges handed to him for apparently beating Geale. LOL. If we are lucky Mundine might get his wish and fight for that WBA Jnr Middle title. We can watch Cotto destroy him for good.
Back to the point of anthems, I agree that they should just be sung as originally intended. I have heard the Aussie anthem turned into a pop song and that singer was GIRT by disapproval.
I don't know much about Solis other than what I've read. Sounds like a solid background with amateur success but from what I've seen of him he looks like he trains at McDonalds. If he is in shape I guess he probably has the skills to cause an upset. If he doesn't come in shape he will get KO'ed by the always in shape Vitali. I got a feeling it could get a little heated and wild in which I think Vitali has proven he doesn't mind mixing it up. Vit Klit KO10.
Yeah good points. I don't agree with Vitali being a flip of the coin, but the world would be boring if everyone agreed on everything.
I wonder how Haye gets past Wlad's jab before getting discouraged if continually tapped on the nose. I agree Haye needs the KO especially if it's in Germany.
Another question for you. Do you think Haye will go after Wlad straight away? He took 2 rounds to take a chance against Audley and I don't have to tell you the huge gap in talent between Audley and Wlad. I think Haye needs to lay it on the line but that will leave him open also.
OK I just gotta end this Haye lovefest (heehee) with a neutral point of view. My opinion is that Haye will get jabbed to death by Wlad, but Haye does have a punchers chance early, until he gases, like he always does. No chance against Vitali. Vitali too big, strong, tough, iron jawed and is better conditioned (stamina).
I oppose Cestrian's view and think Haye should come in light and use his speed. He has natural power, so the faster he is the better chance to land on Wlad's glass cabinet.
Anyway, just my opinion. SAG and Cestrian on the other side of the coin how does Haye win tactically?
I still believe The Klits will jab Haye's face to mince meat. His low guard is tailor made. I have doubts about Haye's stamina and believe either Klit will get the KO late. Haye definitely could upset Wlad with a punchers chance. But no chance against Vitali.
I think Tua has 2 more fights on a TV contract 'Down Under'. Then he can make 1 last run for a belt. Haye v Tua would be an interesting spectacle IMO.
Someone said at least Haye would add more interest to the usual Mundane Klit fights. Don't forget that Haye was involved in the worst ever fight (v Valuev). Smart tactics, entertaining not.
I don't dislike Haye, he has brought a little bit of interest back to the division, but I'm no fanboy either.
That's a bit harsh on Hatton. He made the most of his talents and stepped up when he had to against Tszyu (all be it controversial in my bias Aussie view). Sure he was not P4P elite but definitely a future HOF and always entertaining. He seems like a real down-to-earth type of guy too. However, at this stage in both their careers, Cotto would smash Hatton by KO. I think Cotto has a bit left to have another go at a World Belt but Hatton could be finished. Not to mention Hatton would have to go up to Welter and he has never performed convincingly at Welter opposed to Jnr Welter.
Gday. Most of the boxing I get to see is on utube, except the big fights telecast at pubs. I have seen the Thompson loss and I agree he punched himself out. However he was blowing hard against Barrett and that only lasted to the 5th, he also kept his defence low. The Klitches are smart and I think Vlad will jab him to death for the 1st half and then power punch in the 2nd to finish the fight. No doubt that Hayes power could finish the fight at anytime.
For the record I like British boxing and followed Calzaghe all the way. I would like to see Katsidis smash Khan though.
I gotta go against the trend here. I think Vlad will beat Haye easily. I like Haye as entertainment, but I think he is starting to believe his own crap. He has an ordinary defence, suspect chin and very suspect stamina. Vlad will jab him to death for the early part and then while Haye is tired in the latter, he will KO him. Obviously, Haye has a punchers chance but it's Klitschko KO 11 for mine.
Cestrian, you are right. There are very few Aussies that rate Mundine. They only go to the pub to watch him fight those blown up MW's or drained LH's who are nobodies or over the hill. For the slightest chance he might get KO'ed. Don't go generalising all of us, which I will quote you, "and for all you Aussies", because 1 idiot of limited knowledge, is a fan, you ****.
