Hopkins v haye on Sat 5-Dec-2009:

I don't.
Think about it. Bernard Hopkins has been at least equal to or greater in size than everyone he has fought in recent years. The last guy he fought with a reputation as a knockout puncher was Kelly Pavlik, who was smaller.
David Haye will be younger, faster, bigger, stronger, harder-hitting, able to soak up much of what Hopkins can dish out, and all he has to do is make Hopkins work every minute of every round to win. With all those advantages, Haye can do that if he chooses to. Hopkins loses that fight 95 times out of 100.
In not getting his revenge on Jones, Hopkins probably wants to outdo him by winning a heavyweight crown from someone more worthy than John Ruiz. The thing is I can't see him winning this one, and it would be terrible to see B-Hop go out on a bad loss. Now is a good time for him to retire. What mountains are there to climb that can be climbed?

Kessler vs. Ward on Wed 18-Nov-2009:

This one is coming up this weekend, and happily I'll be able to watch it on the internet Laughing

Who do you think will prevail in the second installment of the Super Six?

This is my pick to win the Kessler vs. Ward fight.

Valuev vs. Haye on Wed 4-Nov-2009:

Does anyone have an idea of who will be broadcasting this fight as an internet steam? I live in Portugal, and can't seem to figure out who is doing it in Europe.
BTW - enjoy my preview of the fight.

Other Boxing Websites on Sun 1-Nov-2009:

It is my opinion that Secondsout pretty much sets the standards for boxing journalism on the web, and is the only website I've seen so far that would qualify as a "web magazine" on that basis.
The others have their problems. FightNews, for example, is pretty much a recycling shop for general news stories and press releases. They are good insofar as that goes, but they don't do a lot of their own work. Eastsideboxing has some good writers, but also a pile of truly awful ones. The way that site is run gives me plenty of cause to imagine a gang of pimply-faced junior high school kids giggling "way to flame him, dude!"
Care to share your thoughts and experiences with boxing news websites?

I've been over it again and again, so I decline to repeat the same (and far superior) argument about Mike Tyson. What I will say is that if that your counter in the matter is little more than a statement that "Tyson is great." Try making an actual comparison, eh?

The Super Six on Tue 27-Oct-2009:

Dirrell didn't outbox Froch by the margin I thought he would, but I'll chalk that up to inexperience. He still outboxed him. It was a close fight, I though Dirrell won it, but Froch was the champion and Dirrell's job is to take the title from him. That said, the referee was clearly biased. I mean, seriously! I don't like clutching and holding that much either, but Froch responded with wrestling and rabbit punching. Deducting a point from the guy who is fouling the least? It's disgusting.

The Super Six on Fri 16-Oct-2009:

As for issues regarding the format, I think having having each boxer fight the other five would take too long. This tournament will probably run into 2011, assuming it holds together long enough to reach completion. A lot can change over the course of a year and a half.
The format will provide a rich enough depth as it is. A guy who makes it to the end might very well fight all five, and if he doesn't it means he will be in at least one rematch.

I wrote a preview for the Dirrell vs. Froch and Abraham vs. Taylor fights, which you can read here. This is my current 168 lbs Top 5 list.

Even indirectly suggesting that Riddick Bowe avoided Mike "China Chin" Moorer is a good way to instantly reduce one's credibility to zero.
