I wasn't particularly suprised. 1) Paulie would quite possibly fight to the death, he is so brave! So he needs protecting. 2) There was no way Paulie could realistically win 3) Paulie wasn't responding to McGirt's requests Ricky was sensational, I am thrilled that he has silenced the naysayers who seem to jump ship as soon as a boxer puts in a bad performance. |

2 hrs until we find out! According to Steve Bunce, a well known British Boxing pundit, the word in the Calzaghe camp is that Joe still had 6lbs to lose in the last 24hrs. That's going to be a huge drain on his body. However, I can't see Jones beating Joe and feel Jones' chances have been overstated. 5 years ago maybe, but it'd be a huge upset now. |

In addition Haye is one of the rare boxers who clearly recognises that Boxing as a sport has become a business and part of the entertainment industry. He wants to put on a good show, to thrill the audience, provide excitement and add value for money. These are things that seem to alluded the likes of Wlad. |

I admire Haye's approach to moving up in weight, he has said that he'll duck nobody and has accepted that if he cannot get past Monte Barrett then he may as well quit. Athletic and powerful Haye will be a handful for many of the 'Top Ten' ranked heavyweights. I do wonder if he'll fall short aginst some of the larger fighters with huge height and reach advantages, particularly when there is still a question mark over his ability to take and absorb shots from the big guns. |

There is no way Paulie will knock out Hatton. Hatton is slowing down and his punch resistance may be in decline. He is too big and still has too much in the tank for Paulie. Remember Paulie has been in a few 'wars' now and add to this his lesser fire power and susceptability to injury and you'll see a Hatton victory. |
