Paul, Trainers now have the game plan and stragegy to 'snuff out' anything Ricky has to offer. I can remember you saying on the Sweet Science before the Pacman fight, with Mayweather Snr as his new trainer, that it doesn't matter who trains him he's programmed and can't change his spots....you were right. However, I was prepared to wait and see if he could improve his skills under the self proclaimed 'best trainer on the planet' but we now know the answer. Why would anyone entertain the idea of Ricky's return to boxing? What has he to prove? But of course a boxer being boxer..........
Ricky Hatton is a limited and predictable fighter who will be exploited and reduced to an aging profile scalp on the resume of boxing's powerful young guns if he continues to fight. He has lost the steel in his beard, remembering that this was a major reason he had the success he did - his toughness, not skill set. He's become an ATG English boxer, is loved by all his country's sportsfans and has enough money to live five lifetimes. No, he should not fight again. Retire Ricky....before you become seriously injured!!
