Roman Greenburg on Fri 7-Dec-2007:
I would like the management on here to answer some straight forward questions - I will keep everything boxing related.

I amongst many others am not happy with the progression of Roman Greenburg.  Unlike some I actually think he has talent but without being disrespectful in recent times he simply has not shown it - I put the onus of the blame firmly on the shoulders of the management of Greenburg.

I fully realise boxing is a business and because of this you have to protect your asset - but Greenburg is an intelligent man he will know when his opponents are mentioned to him that he will only have to train so hard and maybe just maybe he will be able to skip some sessions.

If Robert Waterman and Jim Evans severly tested Greenburg I remain convinced he would then be forced to show the talent people close to him believe he has.

On the other side of the coin - if the management put Greenburg in a test and he loses - taking the positive out of a negative perhaps that would be just the kick up the arse he needs.

I will say again - I feel I am in the minority - I honestly think Roman Greenburg is a talented boxer - but his performances in recent times look lack lustre and Roman seems to be merely going through the motions.

I realise this thread is not going to make me popular with the management on here but it has to be said.

Can anyone tell me what is firmly planned for Roman - put the hype to oneside and tell the boxing fans what really is going to happen to Roman.

Hopkins & Calzaghe on Fri 7-Dec-2007:
Have you seen this link -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7133862.stm

If that was Calzaghe saying it the other way round there would be hell on!!!

Hopkins is well out of line!!!

Hopkins & Calzaghe on Fri 7-Dec-2007:
Did you see the needle between Calzaghe and Hopkins at the Hatton Weigh In today -

Some good hype there for a potential fight - I just can't see how a proud man like Hopkins can turn a fight down with either Calzaghe or for me even better would be Clinton Woods.

Golden Boy President - ODH - surely sees the UK enthusiasm for the sport as another money spinning opportunity and he may think lets get either Calzaghe or Woods over here -

The rumour mill has been buzzing.

Good luck guys on Fri 7-Dec-2007:
Beagle - there are some who may not like the style of this forum as it goes against the grain of the normal we have seen over the years - have to say I am having difficulty getting used to is and am honest enough to say I don't quite like it yet.

But - we are back where we all started!!! - secondsout.com made a big decision in starting this place up again - a lot of lessons have no doubt been learnt.

I join you in wishing the Owner (Robert  Waterman) and Editor (Clive Bernath) and the team in making this place a success.

I am assured message boards of this nature are the way forward - we have to embrace change and lets go for it.

Come on guys get posting your thoughts - why not start your own topics!!!

Weigh In - Hatton/PBF on Fri 7-Dec-2007:
Thought the weigh in was fantastic atmosphere - Ricky coming in at 2lbs under with PBF bang on the limit.

One concern - Ricky seems well well and well hyped up for this one - too much??

What did you think of proceedings??

It is clearly different.  Got to say when I found out this place was going to start up again I had a good chuckle of all those years ago.

Clearly it is brilliant secondsout.com have decided to bring a place back for us to put our comments concerning boxing, it has been long overdue in my opinion.

I think we should air our comments in a constructive manner and support the place whilst the computer wiz kids make any changes to the place they feel is necessary.

I agree with Lightsoot, this place could really take off if things are done correctly.

Which is the best fight you have seen whether it be on the box or live.

For me the best TV fight was - Benn v McClelland - always said what a brutal fight.

Best live fight - well there has been a few:

Michael Jones v Jamie Moore
In Jin Chi v Michael Brodie 1
Clinton Woods v Rico Hoye
