10:00am – Movie: “Ladies and the Champ”, when a widowed teacher and a meddlesome grandmother see a boxing match on their newly installed cable TV, they are transformed into fight aficionados and travel to Chicago to see a live boxing match = 7TWO digital channel
1:40pm – Movie: “Hard Times” starring Charles Bronson, a depression-era drifter turns to illegal boxing for a living, arranged by gamblers. He punches his way through many matches and then faces a professional boxer in a fateful bout = FOX Classics
4:00pm – “The Contender Australia”, “Semi-Finals”, episode 10 (replay), 14 boxers from Australia and New Zealand compete for a $250K prize and a chance to fight Anthony “The Man” Mundine = FOX8
4:15pm – “Phineas and Ferb”, Phineas and Ferb are challenged to a fight by the local bully, Buford. After having been trained by boxing champion Evander Holyfield as himself, Phineas is ready to enter the ring - for a thumb wrestling competition = Disney channel
6:30pm – Movie: “Snakes Eyes”, the U.S Secretary of Defence is assassinated at a boxing match, starring Nicolas Cage = StarPics channel
7:30pm – “Murdoch Mysteries”, while the city celebrates the Queen’s birthday with a display of fireworks, Murdoch investigates a messy case of fixed fights and shady back-room dealings in the dirty world of boxing = 13th Street channel
10:10pm – Movie: “The Tender Hook”, in this crime drama Rose Byrne (Adam) stars as Iris, a beautiful young woman caught in a dangerous love triangle. Hugo Weaving stars as her English lover McHeath, a rogue boxing promoter, who suspects she is involved with his new young protege Art (Matt Le Nevez). As each of them struggles to retain the upper hand, McHeath is provoked to acts of jealousy and violence. Ultimately, Iris’s desires lead them all to an unexpected and destructive final destiny. Archival footage is used to great effect to depict the setting of the story. Support cast includes Pia Miranda and Luke Carroll = Showtime Showcase channel
