Australian TV Boxing Schedule : Week 27/10/2009


A full week of boxing action and information on television in Australia, as compiled by Paul Upham. All times Australian Daylight Saving Time (AEDT).

Tuesday 27th October 2009
8:30am – KOTV = Sky Racing

Wednesday 28th October 2009
8:00am – KOTV = Sky Racing
9:00am – “My Wife & Kids”, Michael is paranoid when he spots a grey hair. He feels as though he is getting too old so decides to take up boxing to get fit. He even teaches Junior some tricks and punches until Junior knocks him out = FOX8
8:30pm – “Prototype This!”, The prototype team looks into the future of gaming - and giant, boxing robots are what they see. Joe and Zoz utilize a technology called optical glyph tracking to allow the robots to register and mimic their human counterparts’ boxing movements while Mike is charged with dressing the metallic skeletons and Terry with building the metal beasts themselves. And then it’s into the boxing ring for a metallic monster slugfest = Discovery Science Channel
11:59pm – “Rose Against The Odds”, a dramatic look at the life of boxer Lionel Rose = NITV.

6:30am – “The Looney Tunes Show”, Pop ’Em Pop: Sylvester tries to teach his son to catch a giant mouse, that is really an escaped boxing champion kangaroo = Boomerang

9:50am – “The Simpsons: Viva Ned Flanders”, Ned takes a trip to Las Vegas for some gambling excitement and discovers what happens when you’re not playing with a full deck. Heavyweight boxing champion Drederick Tatum makes an appearance = FOX8

6:20pm – Movie: “The Champ,” starring Jon Voight. Billy Flynn, an ex box champion, is now horse trainer in Hialeah. He makes just enough money to raise his little boy T.J. over which he got custody after his wife Annie left him seven years ago. T.J. worships The Champ who is now working on his come-back in order to give his boy a better future. But suddenly Annie shows up again = TCM

Wednesday 4th November 2009
2:15am – Movie: “The Champ,” starring Jon Voight. Billy Flynn, an ex box champion, is now horse trainer in Hialeah. He makes just enough money to raise his little boy T.J. over which he got custody after his wife Annie left him seven years ago. T.J. worships The Champ who is now working on his come-back in order to give his boy a better future. But suddenly Annie shows up again = TCM
