By Paul Upham: Mick Shaw will battle Solomon Egberime over ten rounds for the vacant Australian welterweight title on Friday night June 12 at the Broncos Leagues Club in Red Hill, Brisbane, Queensland, presented by Ace Boxing Promotions.
An explosive battle is expected on the undercard between heavyweights Michael Kirby and Gogosina Ulutoa. The two stared each other down in the carpark after Thursday night’s weigh-in, which suggested to onlookers that there will be nothing to save them from each others fury inside the ring.
Iron Rhino Kirby is the current OPBF heavyweight champion, whilst Ulutoa is looking for his 5th professional victory from his last 6 starts. He is a quietly spoken, proud Samoan and is very confident he can stop Kirby inside the six rounds.
Tickets are available from the Broncos Leagues Club.
