Time for Australian young guns to make a mark
30-Oct-10 23:25

By Paul Upham: With four of Australia’s best boxers in their middle thirties, now is the time for some younger talent to step forward and make a mark on the Daniel Geale-Roman Karmazin undercard in Homebush, Sydney on Sunday afternoon 31 October 2010.
While much of the focus for this promotion has rightly been on Geale, Lenny Zappavigna faces South Korea’s Ji-Hoon Kim in an IBF lightweight eliminator.
23 year-old won the IBO lightweight world title on 6 March and has a goal of becoming an undisputed world champion at 130lbs. His journey continues on Sunday.
Also on the card, super middleweight 26 year-old Junior Talipeau, middleweight 29 year-old Robert Medley and super middleweight 29 year-old Jamie Pittman need impressive wins to inspire fan confidence.
“Judgement Day” is promoted by Grange Global Promotions. Tickets are on sale at www.TicketDirect.com.au and www.Grangeosb.com.au or by calling +61 2 46 47 9941.
“Judgement Day” will be televised live in Australia on MAIN EVENT and FOX SPORTS Pub & Club vision on Sunday 31 October 2010 from 1:00pm AEDT.
