By Paul Upham: WBC and WBA junior welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu made his final public appearance in Australia on Thursday night, prior to his departure for Las Vegas on Sunday, where he will meet IBF champion Zab Judah on November 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Tszyu was introduced to the evening shoppers at the Westfield Eastgardens complex in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney where he talked with fans and signed autographs for over an hour.

“The fans are very important to me and I have been treated so well since moving to this country 10 years ago,” said Tszyu, who looked very happy and relaxed as he prepares to fight for the undisputed junior welterweight title against the undefeated Judah.

The Tszyu Crew will depart Sydney Airport at noon on Sunday, arriving in Los Angeles the same day where they will then drive to their Las Vegas training camp.

While the champion signed autographs, the MC told the large crowd in attendance, “Zab Judah will be the toughest fight of Kostya Tszyu’s career, ladies and gentleman.”

“Maybe,” said the pig-tailed power-puncher with a sparkle in his eyes.
