Teddy Stenmark was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1971 and boxed as an amateur from the age of 13 through to 19. Teddy participated in more than 50 bouts and progressed to junior national team status.

In a writing career that began in 1993 Teddy has contributed to the Swedish Boxing Magazine (1993-2003), and numerous websites including his darling project , "The Swedish amateur boxing archives" that lists all the Swedish champions at all weights and categories. ( www.boxningsarkivet.net ) , He is also a regular contributor to the Swedish boxing Federations website www.swebox.se
