Pugnus Promotion Stage Ingemar Johanson tribute Sept 4

By Teddy Stenmark: Pugnus Promotion in Sweden announced a few days ago that they will use the giant Hockey Arena , Löfbergs Lila Arena in Karlstad, Sweden for their next promotion, September 4th.

The show will deliberately sell extremely low priced tickets in order to attract as many fans as possible to come and celebrate the memory of former World heavyweight champion Ingemar “Ingo” Johansson, who passed away earlier this year , will have female prospect, Anna Ingman, heavyweight, Attila Levin and Minnesota ditto, Joey Abell on the program.

Pugnus stated on a press conference recently that they are trying to put together a rematch between Joey Abell and former IBF cruiserweight champion, Alfred “Ice” Cole. The pair met in this very city (Karlstad) in September of last year and the older ex-champ came out a close split decision winner. Abell wants revenge, and if Pugnus gets what they want he will get his chance. They also announced that they wish for Scandinavian opposition for Attila Levin and three interesting names were discussed, Finn Juha Haapoja, Norwegian, Rune Lillebuen and Dane Claus Bertino. Any of these three would make up for a great challenge for the big Swede. More fighters are likely to be presented as part of the show in just a few weeks time. Former Swedish Olympian (2004), Patrick Bogere who recently made his professional debut, is probably one of the fighters Anders Holmberg, Kjell Tuvemark & Benny Rosén wants to bring in to spice things up.

Pugnus also revealed that a few very interesting specially invited celebrities will be present at ringside that evening, among them Danish World Super-middleweight champion, Mikkel Kessler, former European heavyweight champion, Anders Eklund, ex-WBO, middleweight champion, Armand Krajnc, World heavyweight, title challenger, Steffen Tangstad and many, many more recognizable former boxers of note, so expect a very special night come September 4 in Karlstad.
