Miguel Cotto has guaranteed his army of Puerto Rican fans that he will again become world champion when he challenges American WBA light middleweight champion Austin Trout at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 1.
The popular 31 year-old dropped a 12 round unanimous decision to pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr back in May and Cotto has promised his fans that he will once again become champion
“Thank you all for coming today. We are very happy to see you all and (I thank you for) your great support. I can only say that I will train as hard as I can like I always do, and on December 1, I will become world champion again. I’ll guarantee you all that I will return to Puerto Rico as a champion.”
