Hopkins Creates More Boxing History

Bernard Hopkins proved yet again that age is just a number. At the Barclay Center in New York on Saturday night the wrinkly warrior out-pointed fellow American Tavoris Cloud claim the IBF light heavyweight crown at the age of 48.

Hopkins became the oldest boxer in the history to win a major world championship, breaking his own record.. After 12 rounds all three judges made him the winner by scores of 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112. At the same time Cloud suffered his first defeat as a professional.
