Like Mayweather, Broner is under the Golden Boy Promotions banner and advised by the influential Al Haymon. This week saw two KO of the Year candidates as two boxers gained revenge over men who previously defeated them in their careers. Without question the KOs scored by Edgar Sosa and Argenis Mendez were far more emphatic wins than their counterparts scored over them.

Bernard Hopkins proved yet again that age is just a number. At the Barclay Center in New York on Saturday night the wrinkly warrior out-pointed fellow American Tavoris Cloud claim the IBF light heavyweight crown at the age of 48.

Light middleweight Hugo “The Boss” Centeno Jr. scored an 10 round unanimous decision win over KeAndrae “Lightning” Leatherwood at the Fantasy Springs Casino Resort in Indio, California on Friday. Leatherwood spent most of the fight holding and punching before going down on via a near shutout of 100-89, 99-91, 100-90.
