Ohara Davies has stated he is ‘ready to go to hell’ against Jack Catterall and followed up by questioning his opponent’s willingness to join him when the domestic rivals face each other in Leicester on October 6th.

Davies (18-1) posted on his Twitter account in response to promoter Frank Warren’s announcement of a multi-year broadcast partnership with ESPN and Top Rank Boxing this afternoon.

The tweet read: “You guys in America can watch me win on October 6th live on @espn - I will win this fight And I’m ready to go to Hell, though I don’t think Jack Catterall will take me there, we will all see. Great partnership and great for Boxing as a whole @frankwarren_tv.

Verbal outbursts have been a regular feature coming from the Ohara Davies twitter account in the past, but the Hackney super-lightweight promised to keep things civil during the build up to his encounter against Chorley-fighter Catterall (22-0). Catterall on the other hand hasn’t been as lenient towards his compatriot, most recently labelling Davies a quitter.
