Danny Garcia May be the WBC light-welterweight champion but he will be the underdog when he defends his title against Britain’s Amir Khan at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Garcia, 23-0-(14), may not have faced the same quality opponents as Khan but the 24 year-old is confident of making a first successful defence of the WBC crown he won from Mexican legend Erik Morales back in March.
"I’m the underdog. I’ve got to prove to the world that I’m the best 140lbs fighter," Garcia told Sky Sports. "That’s why I took this fight and why I’m here.
"He has the name. So it’s only right for me to be the underdog because more people know his name than mine, but Saturday night we’ll see who’s the better man.
"I know a lot of people from Philadelphia have come over to support me. Fans and family and they are here supporting me.
"I’m going there, have fun and do what I do best and that’s win. Be me, be swift!"
