Golovkin Targets Saunders Next

Not long after dismantling the brave but outgunned Kell Brook at the 02 in London on Saturday night world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has target a showdown with WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders.

Speaking after forcing a fifth round stoppage over the IBF welterweight champ, Golovkin said: “I wanted a ‘Big Drama Show’, this was more like street fight, I knew I was stronger than him. He couldn’t handle my power. I knew I was hurting him…I want to fight Billy Jo Saunders next, he has the WBO belt and I want a unification fight to get all the middleweight titles.”
