In the final press conference for the “Battle on the Banks”, Adrien “The Problem” Broner (23-0 19 KOs) is out to impress HBO viewers when he takes on Vicente “Chente” Escobedo (26-3, 15 Kos) on Saturday night.
Team Broner does not lack confidence and Andrew Williams the co-promoter from R & R promotions has such belief in Adrien Broner he pretty much describes him as the complete fighter: “He has the offense of a Sugar Ray Leonard, he has the defense of Pernell Whitaker, he has the Knockout power of Mike Tyson, the skill level of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the charisma of Roy Jones Jr,” said Williams.
Broner was just as confident saying: “July 21 is just another day in the ring for me. I’ll come in laughing and dancing. I like to have fun with it. He’s coming to my hometown and I’m excited. I don’t know him and I don’t want to know him. I’m in the hurt business and I’m gonna handle Escobedo.”
Vicente Escobedo also displayed confidence stating “All the work is done and I’m ready to fight. Come Saturday I’m not here to just put on a good fight but here to win the title and I’m going to take it home with me.”
