Amir Khan believes he was fighting both the referee and Lamont Peterson at the Convention Center in Washington on Saturday night.
The British boxer lost his IBF and WBA light-welterweight titles via 12 round split decision after being deducted 2 points, controversially, which ultimately cost him his titles
After the fight Khan insisted he will return even stronger and feels he was also fighting the referee as well as Peterson at times.
“I’ll come back stronger,”said Khan, who knocked Peterson down in the first round.
“I thought in the first round there were two knockdowns, not one, and there were points taken off me when I thought, ‘Why is that happening?’.
“The referee didn’t even warn me, he just jumped in and took points off me. “Even Lamont was shocked himself. I knew we won. I was up against the referee and him.
Khan added: “It’s true what Bernard Hopkins says, when you go to someone’s home state you are two points down before the fight starts and I think that’s what happened. Anywhere else and he wouldn’t have won that fight.
“I want a re-match straight away, just to prove to everyone. Let’s be fair and have it somewhere like Vegas.”
