Tommy Langford, 17-0 (6), will not only suffer his first defeat when he meets Sam Sheedy on Nov 26, but will get knocked out - that’s the prediction from AJ Hobson.

AJ - who along with his uncle, Dennis Hobson, and trainer Glyn Rhodes - co-manages the Sheffield southpaw, believes Langford is the perfect foe for Sheedy to shine against.

’Speedy’ Sheedy, 17-1 (4), and Langford meet for the vacant British middleweight title at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena in a contest originally scheduled for mid-October but, due to postponement, now takes place over a month later.

With the extra time to prepare, AJ is convinced Sheedy will come out on top and believes Langford will be shocked by his man’s power.

"Sam has had the best camp he’s ever had. He’s not had to strip off a load of weight, he’s bang on track, is hitting harder, punching quicker, and we can’t wait. I sincerely believe Sam will knock Tommy out. Langford will not be able to take the shots that Andrew Robinson took from Sheedy, that’s for certain.

"Originally we only had just three weeks notice, but it’s a British title fight so we had to take it. With it being postponed though, Sam’s getting a perfect camp. Langford has probably overtrained because you can’t train for fourteen weeks straight. It’s going to be up and down for him, but Sam’s camp has been perfect.

"Sam will peak at the right time and it couldn’t have worked any better. Everything’s gone against Tommy with the change of opponent [Langford was originally slated to face Chris Eubank Jr], and Sam’s a southpaw who now has an extra four weeks training. I know whose camp I’d rather be in, let’s put it that way!

"Tommy is absolutely made for Sam. If you were to ask me to mould a fighter to make Sam look good, I’d go for someone like Tommy Langford. A star is going to be born on BoxNation. Sam is pure entertainment, from his ring entrance to his fighting style, he’s something unique. When I first saw him, I just knew he’d go all the way."
