According to the the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website Julio Cesar Chavez Jr was arrested in Los Angeles on charges of drunk driving at around 4:38am about two weeks ago.
At the time Chavrz Jr should have been tucked up in bed at training camp, preparing for last weekend’s WBC middleweight title defence against Marco Antonio Rubio.

Chavez Jr was held by police for six hours and will attend court on March. At the time of his arrest, Chavez was listed as weighing 175lbs so not suprising he reportedly had difficulty making weight for his fight with Rubio.
Tge son of Mexican legend Julio Cesar Chavez, who out-pointed Rubio in San Antonio last weeked, made the 160lb limit on the first attempt but according to HBO he put on another 22lbs from the time of the weigh in and the actual fight.
