Abraham steps up the pace against Bouadla

Arthur Abraham made a successful first defence of his WBO super middleweight title in Nuremberg , Germany on Saturday by stopping Mehdi Bouadla in the eighth round.

 

Abraham, 35-3-(27), punished Bouadla the entire fight before referee Mark Nelson finally waved it off after 2.11 of round eight.

 

On the undercard unbeaten Mateusz Masternak won the vacant European cruiserweight title with a shutout 12 round unanimous decision win over Juho Haapoja The scores were 120-108 on all cards.

 

Another unbeaten fighter on the card was light middleweight Jack Culcay, won his 14 paid bout with a five round stoppage win over Jean Michel Hamilcaro,17-5-3-(6). Culcay proved too goog in all departments against the overmatched Hamilcaro. Hamilcaro was decked in the fifth round and and stopped after 2:26 of the fifth.
