WBC light middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez made the mandatory weight, with a smidgeon to spare 30 days before the fight, complying with WBC rules which strive to insure the health and balanced nutrition of boxers.
The undefeated champion completed the ceremony at his training camp in the Big Bear Mountains. Canelo was 166.8 pounds and the limit is 169. The WBC supervisor was Rudy Tellez.
On the other hand, Mayweather did the same in his training camp in Las Vegas where he was much lighter at 150.3 pounds.
The two undefeated boxers clash on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Naevada.
