Saúl ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is knuckling down for some tough training weeks, geared towards defeating Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 14th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“We have started sparring, and we’re expecting the arrival of six boxers from which we’ll choose the best to work with," said Canelo’s Manager and Mentor Jose “Chepo” Reynoso.
Canelo arrived in Los Angeles on Monday night along with his team, who are establishing their training camp in the mountains of Big Bear, just like he did for his fight against “Sugar” Shane Mosley.
The promotional tour of 11 cities, including Mexico City is done and dusted. The next crucial phase of preparation is now underway for the young undefeated Mexican.
