Arce opponent Carmona in critical but stable condition

Jose Carmona the brave Colombian featherweight who was knocked out in 8 rounds on Saturday night by Jorge Arce is said to be in a critical but stable condition in hospital after undergoing two brain surgeries yesterday.

Carmona, 24, put up a brave battle as a late replacement against the comebacking Arce, but unfortunatley was rushed out of the ring on a stretcher following his knockout loss. Early reports suggest that it will take up to two days to know the results of the surgery.
