Brähmer Returns With A Win/Chagaev Victorious


Former WBO light heavyweight champion Jürgen Brähmer (37-2, 30 KOs) finally made it back into the ring after three previous late pull outs to score a fourth round tko win over José Maria Guerrero (29-3-1, 11 KOs) at the Grand Elysée in Hamburg, Germany on Saturday .

 

Despite his lack of fighting action over the last couple of years Brähmer looked good as he landed some heavy shots against Guerrero in the opening round, and decked Guerrero with a left uppercut in round two. Referee Jürgen Langlos stopped the fight in round four after Guerrero suffered a cut and the bout was stopped after 2:27.

 

Unbeaten cruiserweight prospect and former Olympic gold medalist Rakhim Chakhkiev made it 12 wins from 12 starts when he out-pointed Alexander Kotlobay over 10 rounds in a clash for the WBC Baltic title. Chakhkiev scored a knockdown at the end of round three on his way to a score of 100-89 on all three scorecards.

Heavyweight hope Denis Boytsov (30-0, 25 KOs) scored a fourth round knockout win over Darnell “The Ding-A-Ling Man” Wilson (24-14-3, 20 KOs). Wilson was decked with a right hand.

 

Also on the undercard former WBA heavyweight champ Ruslan Chagaev (28-2-1, 17 KOs) easily out-pointed Kertson Manswell over eight rounds. Chagaev floored Manswell in last round of the bout.

 

Former WBA cruiserweight champ Firat Arslan (32-5-1, 21 KOs) stopped Orlando Antonio Farias (23-11, 12 KOs) in round two. The time of the stoppage was 2.12, Farias was decked twice.

 

 


Former WBC super featherweight titleholder Vitali Tajbert (23-2, 6 KOs) scored an eight round decision over Jose Luis Graterol.

 

Former female featherweight world champ Ina Menzer (28-1, 10 KOs) out-pointed Milena Koleva (3-4-1) over eight rounds.

 

Featherweight hope Marcel Meyerdiercks (21-0, 5 KOs) stayed unbeaten when he out-pointed Roberto Santos de Jesus over eight rounds.

 

At heavyweight Vladimir Tereshkin (14-0-1, 7 KOs) fifth round disqualification over the out of shape Evgeny Orlov (13-11-1, 8 KOs).

 

In a WBO European Middleweight title bout Rafael Bejaran (14-1, 6 KOs won a 12 round unanimous points decision over Daniel Urbanski (5-3-2, 1 KO).
