Carlos Diaz Ramiez outpoints Roberto Marroquin in Mexico.

Undefeated Super featherweight Carlos Diaz Ramirez 19-0-10KO’s from faced Roberto Marroquin 25-3-1-18KO’s in Reynona Mexico on Saturday night.

This fight was supposed to be the hardest test of Diaz Ramirez career on paper, but the Ramirez’s team believed Marroquin was just another name he could add to his unblemished record.

When two Mexicans step into the ring you know you’re about to witness a very entertaining fight and this one lived up to the fan’s expectations. Round one to two both fighters were feeling each other out, so they could find their range. But it was the Marroquin who found his range first and floored the undefeated Ramiez for the first time in his professional career.

The crowd was starting to believe that Marroquin could define the odds and pull off the upset but Rameriez repaid the favour by decking Marroquin as well. This left the fans on the edge of their seats and it was building up to be a war.

Throughout the rest of the fight neither of the fighter’s was able to take full control of the fight and in the end it went to the judges score cards. All three Judges scored the bout 96-94, 96-95 and 98-91 in favour of Carlos Diaz Rameriez.
