WBC Middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. made it under the middleweight limit of 160 lbs. when the scale registered 159.5. His opponent, Marco Antonio Rubio was 159 lbs.
The evening’s co-main event will feature top tier pound for pound fighter Nonito Donaire and Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. in a bout for the vacant WBO Super Bantamweight title. Donaire’s weight: 121.6. Vazquez: 122. The fights will air tomorrow night, February 4 on HBO in the United States.
