Promoter Dave Coldwell has promised Birmingham fight fans value-for-money.
The north of England based promoter stages a show at the city’s New Bingley Hall on Friday, March 16 and includes a pair of 50-50 bill toppers and one of Britain’s best crowdpleasers.
Undefeated boxers Nasser Al-Harbi and Jamie Ball clash in an eliminator for the English light-middleweight championship and in another Birmingham v Black Country derby, Terry Carruthers and Kevin McCauley meet for the vacant British Masters middleweight belt.
As well as those 50-50 fights, Coldwell Boxing’s show also features the return of exciting ticket-seller Peter Vaughan, a semi-finalist in last year’s light-middleweight ‘Prizefighter.’
Dave Coldwell was encouraged by the healthy turn out at his first show in Birmingham last September and said: “If the fans keep getting behind the shows, we will keep putting them on.
“We are building up a good stable of boxers in the city, we work well with Jon Pegg and Errol Johnson and hopefully, we can keep bringing good fights and good shows to Birmingham.
“We want to give fans value for money. They won’t keep coming back if they don’ get value for money.
“Every show will have 50-50 fights and even the journeymen will come to fight.”
Vaughan guarantees thrills. He is a ferocious punching machine dubbed “the most exciting fighter in Britain” by veteran manager Jim Evans and is currently based in Birmingham after leaving his home-town, Banbury.
Coldwell added: “Peter is a real fans’ favourite and we will be seeing him box in Birmingham regularly over the next few months.”
