DeMarco Returns With A Win

Former WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco, 29-3-(26), looked impressive stopping Fidel Monterrosa, 31-8-(25), in the fifth round at the Arena Tecate in Tijuana, Mexico on Saturday.


A combination of by DeMarco in round five decked Monterrosa. The Colombian managed to beat the count, but the referee stepped in to stop the bout.


DeMarco had not fought since losing to first Adrian Broner in November 2012.


In the co main event, unbeaten flyweight prospect Daniel “Bad Boy” Rosas improves to,16-0-1-(11), scoring a thrilling second round knockout over Roberto “Azabache” Castañeda, 20-4-(15).


In a super bantamweight bout Raul Hirales Jr,19-2-(8), won an eight round unanimous decision against Carlos “Carnicero” Medellin. All three judges scored the bout 79-73 for Hirales Jr.
