David Haye says he is giving Tyson Fury a massive opportunity to fight on the big stage for the first time in his 21 fight career but it is Fury who insists that he is the one ‘chucking him a bone’. The pair faced each other in London today to officially announce their domestic heavyweight title clash at the MEN Arena in Manchester on September 28 and Fury says he is the one doing Haye a favour.
“ First of all I’s like to address the situation where David said he is the one giving me the opportunity to fight him for this big payday,” said Fury. Looking at Haye, Fury added: “Now lets not get confused David I’m the one chucking you a bone here, you’re the dog and I’m chucking you a bone because before the Tyson Fury fight where was you gonna go? Who did you have to fight, nobody?
“ I’m giving you the chance to have your little claim to try and beat Tyson Fury. I’m the young up and comer I’m the one on everyone’s phone, you’re the one that just stinks the place out and blames it on your little toe. The you go and fight Chisora(Dereck). When I beat him he was a virgin when you beat him he was a journeyman. Lets make one thing clear I’m the one throwing him a bone.”
At today’s press conference it was also announced that the Haye vs Fury heavyweight blockbuster will be broadcast live and exclusive on Sky Box Office pay per view
