American heavyweight Michael Grant,48-4-(36), is set to defend his WBF heavyweight title against French-based Cameroon contender Carlos Takam, 27-1-(21), in Paris, France on May 24 .
The show will be promoted by Joseph Germain.
Grant won the title by stopping former champion Francois Botha in the 12th round of their November 2011 encounter in Johannesburg, South Africa, so he is no stranger to fighting abroad.
Takam went one better four months later when he got rid of Botha in 11 rounds to capture the WBF International title. Since then he has stayed busy with two non-title victories.
