Groves Confident Of Upsetting The Odds

Many knowledgeable boxing experts believes George Groves has made a huge mistake by taking on Carl Froch too early in his unbeaten career. At least year too early to be precise but the 25 year-old, who is unbeaten in 19 bout, 15 early, believes he is challenging for the IBF and WBA super middleweight crowns at the right time

Speaking to Sky Sport News, Groves said: "Look at the good world champions, past and present. They usually challenge for a world title around the 20-bout mark.

"They usually have to take on older, more experienced guys and they don’t always fall short.

Groves added: "Everyone is going to be saying that this is step too far for me right now, but it’s not. I’ve been written off and been the underdog before but I actually relish that."
