Hart Gets The Job Done In Philly

Super middleweight contender Jesse Hart made it 24 wins in 25 starts at the Liacouras Cebter in Philadelphia on Saturday night by stopping Demond Nicholson, 18-3-1-(17), in the seventh round.


Hart was rocked in the opening round but he recovered well to deck Nicholson twice in the third round until the fight was stopped after 2.26 of the seventh round. Hart claimed the NABF super middleweight title.


On the same card North Phily heavyweight Bryant Jennings scored a 10 round decision win over Joey Dawejko, 19-5-4-(11), via 10 round decision to win the vacant PA State heavyweight title. Afte an even first five rounds Jennings stepped up a gear to claim a 98-92 on all three judges cards.
