Haye Wants Vitali

David Haye is hoping WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko will sign to fight him in 2013.

There has been speculation that Vitali will defend his title in early 2013 and Haye says the two men have agreed term but Vitali is yet to sign.

The 32 year-old former WBA champ said: “I always assumed he(Vitali) was quite a proud man and wanted to leave some sort of legacy behind, which he won’t do at the moment, because, can you think of any big fighters Vitali has fought?

“He’s had 50 fights against nobodies. The only fight of his that people remember is the one against Lennox Lewis — which he lost.

Haye added: “He needs a fight people will actually remember — and the only recognised heavyweight out there is myself.”
