WBC light flyweight champion Adrián Hernández puts his title on the line for the third time against Japanese boxer Atsushi Kakutani, on August 10th.
Confesor re- gained the WBC title against Kompayak Porpramook last October, and has since successfully defended it twice, against Dirceu Cabarca and Yader Cardoza.
Challenger Kakutani aged 28, last year lost a 12 round split decision in a bid for Japan’s super flyweight title.
The 26 year-old Hernandez holds a record of 27 wins, 16 KO’s, 2 looses and 1 draw. Challenger Kakutani has 13 wins with 6 KO’s, 3 losses and 1 draw.
