Hernandez Retains WBC Crown


Adrian Hernandez, 26-2-1-(16), retained his WBC light flyweight title with a clear and unanimous 12 round decision win over Dirceu Cabarca (14-7-(6), at the Arena Agustin Millan in Toluca, Mexico on Saturday.

 

Hernandez’s dominance of the fight was indicated by the scores of 118-110, 118-108 and 119-112 on all three judges cards. Hernandez was cut on the bridge of the nose and over his left eye due to head clashes

.

On the undercard ightweight Luis “Vampiro” Arceo won a hard fought 10 round unanimous decision over Ricardo “Pelon” Domínguez despite sustaining a badly swollen eye to win by scores of 96-94 on all three judges cards.

 

flyweight prospect Felipe Salguero improved his record to 17-4-1 (12), when Javier Romano failed to show for round five.
