Super featherweight Dante “Crazy” Jardon, 22-3-(18), won by second round disqualification decision against Adrian Verdugo, 22-7-1-(19),at the Foro Polanco in Mexico City on Saturday.
Jardon floored Verdugo in the opening before he was cut on the right eyelid by what was ruled to be an intentional headbutt. The bout was stopped with Verdugo being Disqualified after 2:06 of the second session.
In the co-feature, Martin “Pini” Casillas won a 10 round split decision over current WBF super flyweight champ Juan Jose “Goofy” Montes in a non-title fight. The scores were 97-93 twice for Casillas and 96-95 for Montes.
