Khan Has Big Incentive To Beat Diaz

According to reports on the Internet, Oscar De la Hoya has dangled a massive carrot in front of Amir Khan prior to his April 27, 12 round non title bout in Sheffield, England.

Khan has revealed that Oscar’s Golden Boy Promotions is planning a light welterweight unification tournament and he will face the winner later in the year.

"Golden Boy said they are going to do a mini tournament. It’s going to be [Danny] Garcia - [Zab] Judah, the winner fights the winner of [Lucas] Matthysse and [Lamont] Peterson, and at the end of the year the winner of that fights me," said Khan.

"The reason they fight me at the end is because I can’t fight in the middle because I’ve got Ramadam. Hopefully, we’ll know by the end of the year who the best 140 pound fighter is and that’s going to be between the five of us."
