Steve Williams (13-1, 5 KOs) scored 12 round decision over previously unbeaten Kirk Goodings (7-1, 1 KO), to claim the vacant British Maaters light welterweight title at the Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool on Friday(Nov 30).
Williams pressured Goodings the entire fight to nick a 116-115 points win
On the same card former British super middleweight champion Tony Dodson, (29-7-1, 14 KOs) out-pointed John Anthony (8-28-1, 5 KOs) over six forgettable rounds. The score was 59-55.
In a lightweight bout Youssef Al Hamidi (12-49-2, 1 KO) outpointed Tommy Carus over four rounds.
