Marquez Says No To Fifth Pacquiao Fight

Mexican Boxing Legend Juan Manuel Marquez says he is not interested in facing Manny Pacquiao inside the ring for a fifth time.

After a draw and two controversial wins for ‘Pac Man’, Marquez finally put any dispute as to who is the better man to rest last December when he ferociously knocked out his rival.

Speaking to The Record Marquez quashed any rumours of a fifth meeting by stating: “[I] am not interested in doing it, [there’s] no point, since [my] objective was achieved.”

The 39-year-old also believes that boxing fans have no desire to see a fifth fight.

"The most important thing is that everything settled positively for me. Nor do I think that the fans have interest in seeing a rematch between us,” said Marquez.

Marquez also believes that Pacquiao only has himself to blame for the knockout loss last December because he was desperate to win clearly after the previous controversially. "By giving me the opportunity, Manny Pacquiao gave it to himself, because he wanted a clear win," Marquez said.
