Unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. has tweeted that he’s could be facing IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexanderin a unification clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 4.
Mayweather said on his twitter account Tuesday: “The negotiations for my fight are almost done. The front runner is IBF Champion Devon Alexander. It’d be a unification bout at welterweight.”
Alexander pulled out of his scheduled IBF title defence against Britain’s Kell Brook on Monday, claiming a he injured a bicep whilst training.
