Mayweather vs. Cotto is a Done Deal for May 5th

Mayweather KO's Ortiz

By Tom Gray

Floyd Mayweather will challenge Miguel Cotto for the latter’s WBA Junior Middleweight Championship on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There has been no official announcement but word is spreading fast throughout the boxing community that Puerto Rico’s three weight world champion has landed an intriguing matchup with the sport’s biggest star.

The news, if confirmed, will end months of rumor linking Mayweather to Robert Guerrero, Saul Alvarez, Tim Bradley, Amir Khan, and of course - Manny Pacquiao.

There is also a buzz circulating that Mexico’s WBC Junior Middleweight Champion, Saul Alvarez, could meet former three weight titlist, Sugar Shane Mosley, in a terrific undercard attraction.
